Beach Weekend

We had a fun weekend away at the beach! It was cloudy with some sprinkles but warm and there was NO wind. We were able to play out on the beach for hours at a time without any complaints about being cold. The only bummer was the first night Sam woke up with a fever and wasn't feeling great the last couple of days. He still managed to play hard, eat well, and stay happy. The kids loved playing ball on the beach, digging holes, flying kites, building fires and playing with their cousins. I don't have many shots of the whole group - there was 15 of us... hoping to get a few from Lisa and Lacey. We made it home by noon and everything is unpacked, laundry is in the washer and boys are napping - yippee!

Weekend

Our little family is heading to the beach this weekend. We will be hanging out with Brian's parents and his two sisters and their families. It feels like we have packed for a week - extra clothes, food, beach toys etc. Let's hope the sun comes out!

Lazy morning in PJs

Kindy Music Program

Sam had his kindergarten music program last night. He has been talking about it for weeks. They were so cute and totally into the hand motions, props etc.

A day of parties

Sam had back to back birthday parties this afternoon. The first party was a space mission. All of the kids wore astronaut suits... it was super cute. They decorated bags with planet stickers and stamps, played space games, listened to a story about outer space, and had rocket cake.
Each captain had their photo taken.
The second party was for Sam's friend Kaitlynn. The theme was "backwards" and the kids wore crazy clothes, hats and glasses backwards. He was one of just a few boys and tons of girls at the party, but was a good sport about playing dress up and games. Here is Sam in the "photo booth".

Who knew...

A $1 boat from Target could keep a 3 year old occupied for hours...?

Almost summer...

We have had a string of 70+ degree days this week and it's been great! Yesterday when Brian got home from work, he pulled out the water table, kiddie pool and sprinklers. The boys grabbed their suits, ran outside and stripped down in the backyard. They couldn't even get dressed in the house - they were that excited!
Filling up the pool...
I ran to the store and when I got back they had pitched a tent and started making s'mores. Ben only wanted pieces of the chocolate bar, and Sam didn't want his marshmallows toasted. Weird kids!
Looking forward to spending the summer outside in the water and trying to stay cool!

Paint

Dad and I spent all day painting the baby's room. It was a neutral tan color with some ugly orange undertones.... now it is an awesome green that I love! It looks like a completely different room. Painting the ceiling white and the walls a lighter color made it look so much bigger. These photos are a little dark but you get the idea...
I just realized we now have 3 green rooms in our home. Love green!
Thanks dad for all of your help -- it made the job way faster and more fun!

Bunk

Ben keeps asking when he can sleep on the top bunk. Brian tells him maybe when he is 4. I don't think Sam will give it up that easily! The last 2 days he has taken his nap up there and thinks he's pretty cool!

Caden turns 2!

Saturday we got to celebrate Caden's 2nd birthday with family and friends. The boys loved his Toy Story cake!
Sam is looking so grown up these days...
Sam was into helping with presents. Ben kept saying "which one is mine?" and "which one can I take home?"
Fun in the playroom!
Thanks for a great night Lacey and Craig! We hope Caden had a great birthday celebration!

#5

So happy we had a sunny, warm day for tball. The last few weeks we have been bundled up in jackets and blankets trying to keep warm.
Running to first...
Waiting for some action.
He actually had a few balls to come his way and made 2 outs at first and one at second. The kid can throw... catching is another story!
Not exactly sure what is happening here... chaos!
