Tuesday

Harper slept through preschool drop off and pick up, a playdate at the children's museum and lunch... rough life! She is starting to smile and coo...it's too cute.

Looking so big!

The boys have been very protective of their baby sister... Ben is constantly trying to love on her and checking on her when she cries. Sam has telling us that he wants to make sure Harper comes to visit him when he is off at college. Where is he getting this? And why does he want to grow up so fast!?
Big yawn!

My little buddy

Wednesday

Thank goodness for quiet moments like these that allow me to do a quick clean up of the tornados around the house, make lunch for Ben or get dinner prepped for the evening. Now that Harper isn't sleeping as much during the day it's hard to find the time to get things in order around here. Brian is teaching full time at UP and doing seminars in the evenings so things are starting to get pretty crazy. He'll have 3 night classes for the next few months - yikes! This week we are juggling soccer practices/game, swimming lessons for both kids, preschool drop off/pick up, play dates etc. So getting the laundry done and the kids fed seems like a real accomplishment!

Yes!

We have been trying to get Harper to take a binky the last couple of weeks... mostly in the evenings when she gets a little fussy. Usually it makes her even more mad, but the last day or two she has actually taken it!

Cutest toes!

Back to Vegas...

Brian's parents are heading back to Vegas for a few months. They came over last night to see the kids before they leave tomorrow.

First soccer game of the season!

Sam's first game was today and he scored 2 goals!
Everyone loved holding Harper... this is Sam's big buddy Connor. He is a 4th grader at Oak Hills and loves babies! :-)

1st Day of School

We survived the first morning of school chaos! Up early, lunch and snacks packed, school supplies ready to go etc. Sam was so excited for his first day and to ride the bus... and the bus never came! I was at school waiting and Brian had all 3 kids at the bus stop for 25 minutes! I came home to get Sam and the bus came rolling down our hill... empty with a not so friendly driver. We made it to school and Sam found his room and a few friends from last year. I can't believe he is a big 1st grader!
After getting Sam settled it was time to drop Ben off at preschool! His first day in the 3s class and he did great with me dropping him off. Yay Ben!
Here is his class coming back from the playground. Ben is in the blue coat next to the teacher... on the way home today he said "I hope my teachers will miss me..."

Back to School Celebration!

Saturday we hosted the 2nd annual back to school celebration dinner! The kids wore their crowns, did lots of toasting w/ wine glasses, ate special desserts and did a scavenger hunt w/ their cousins.
My mom made these great menus, and she and dad did the cooking this year - thanks mom and dad! :-)
I found these super cute pix on my camera - thanks to whoever took them!
Being silly!
Uncle Colin and Harper...
And a special thank you to Aunt Susie for coming from Bend to be part of the fun!

We survived the week!

The kids and I made it through the week solo! I even managed to take all 3 of them to Target this morning and it went surprisingly well. Ben loves giving kisses, hugs, pats and pretty much trying to "help" with everything.
BIG yawn!
