Paint

Dad and I spent all day painting the baby's room. It was a neutral tan color with some ugly orange undertones.... now it is an awesome green that I love! It looks like a completely different room. Painting the ceiling white and the walls a lighter color made it look so much bigger. These photos are a little dark but you get the idea...
I just realized we now have 3 green rooms in our home. Love green!
Thanks dad for all of your help -- it made the job way faster and more fun!

Progress

We are going on week 3 of remodeling our master bathroom. It is slowly coming together! It was nice to see the 80s light fixtures, gold accents, and beige toilet go. The tiling is almost done and we are hoping the cabinets we ordered arrive this week. Here are a few pix of the process...
New tub and shower pan in... sheet rock going up.
Old mirrors, lights and cabinets gone.
Tile starting to go down.
Getting closer!

Forts and Friends

The boys had a great time playing with my friend Julia's 4 kids this morning. They found every blanket, pillow, basket and box we owned and built forts for everyone!

We're Done!

Here is our new bathroom... is done and I love it!

There was a time when I thought the room was cursed. Everything seemed to be going wrong. Just a few things to give you an idea... short on tile, toilet too big (my fault), cabinet was broken in the box, second toilet was scratched, sink leaked, light fixture didn't work etc. With numerous trips to Home Depot and a little patience it all came together. Woohoo!

Making Progress

So we are slowly making progress in updating our powder bathroom... We are hoping to have the tile put in Monday, grout Tuesday and new fixtures in before Thanksgiving! Brian had to work this morning and the boys actually let me paint. It is very OLIVE. Martini anyone?
