There is something bitter sweet about the turn from 3 to 4... 4 seems so grown up and I'm not ready for her to be such a big girl yet. We celebrated with a trip to the Wilson pool and family BBQ. She actually said the other day..."I'm big enough to do that all by myself now... I'm 4 you know!"
Hard to believe we've hit double digits! We survived a pool party and sleepover to celebrate!
Sam is changing so fast. He's almost as tall as I am… loving sports more than ever, reads books faster than we can check them out at the library and craves time with his buddies just being a typical silly boy. He's helpful, thoughtful and at times has a whole lotta attitude… we've hit the tween years. :) Love you Sam!
Our silly, sweet, curious middle child turned 7 earlier this month. He celebrated with friends at Stoneworks Climbing gym and then a visit with Santa later that day. Hard to believe this little guy is growing up so fast.
Our baby girl turned 3 today! So hard to believe. She seems so grown up but still the baby! We hiked and swam and played in Sunriver all day... tonight we had a family BBQ and cupcakes and she hammed it up dancing and singing in her new dress up clothes. Such a fun age!
Brian took Sam and 2 friends to the University of Portland baseball game to celebrate his birthday Monday. Sun, baseball, pizza and ice cream...Pretty much the perfect day!
Ben turned 6 yesterday! I still think of him as my little buddy but he's growing up! We celebrated with a pool party at SW Community Center. I lost count how many times we went down the slide!
Harper has been talking about "2" for weeks and today was the big day! Not sure where the time has gone but she is getting so big and is so much fun -- if we could just keep her this size for a while!
Yesterday we celebrated with brunch - she was slightly fixated on the presents...
Lots of cousins and our buddies Griffin and Sabine...
She asked for PINK shoes and a PINK baby and a PINK cake... sensing a theme here...
More PINK!
And the PINK cake! I've never seen a kid soooo excited about a cake - first thing she asked for that morning.
Today we played at the park (twice), went out to lunch and had leftover PINK cake. She had a great day... and is officially a toddler! Here are a few pix we took tonight out in the yard...
I can't believe how much this little munchkin has changed in the last few months. She runs, jumps, tackles her brothers, pedals her trike to the park, loves to talk, snuggle and hug and look you in the eyes and say "mommy hi! hi mama! i happy!" Stay little baby girl!
What a fun day celebrating the big 9 with Lizzie! Out for lunch, the zoo, family dinner and chocolate cupcakes! Kids are wiped but had a great day! Happy Birthday ZZ! xo
Sam turned 8 on Sunday! Wow! So hard to believe he is growing up and changing so fast. Brian and I took 8 boys to the bowling alley/arcade to celebrate. Everyone came home with us and boys are LOUD! My boys get crazy but 8 of them together and it gets wild! They all had a blast and it was great to see Sam and his buddies so happy.
Ben turned 5 today! I still think of him as the little guy around here... so it's hard to believe how fast he is growing up. We had dinner tonight with friends and then home for birthday brownies. :-)
Today was Harper's birthday - so hard to believe she is 1! The boys have been so excited to celebrate... we made a big, pink cake with lots of sprinkles! My sweet friend Jennah made her a little matching pink cake... she played with the sprinkles and then decided she didn't want anything to do with it! She loves her new baby the boys picked out - she screamed as we were trying to get it out of the package and starting hugging and kissing it right away.
I'm feeling a little bit sad that she is a whole year old already! She is so much fun and almost walking, trying to say words, and has such a playful personality - but growing up too fast!
10 yrs - Loves sports, school and playing with friends. Growing taller by the day and eats everything he can get his hands on!
Ben
7 yrs - the clown of the family - playful and curious. Loves soccer, basketball, riding bikes, legos, has a huge imagination and never stops asking questions!
Harper
3 yrs - our happy girl loves playing with her babies, throwing and kicking balls, climbing and sliding at the park and trying to keep up with the big kids!
