Hard to believe this monkey is 13 months old. She has 4 little teeth and walks everywhere now. She tries so hard to do everything the boys do... the other day she got a soccer ball and slowly dribbled it all over the family room! She shrieks and giggles and is the snuggliest baby of the 3. She is also quite the little climber. The one thing she doesn't do is talk. She points at everything... and most things are BA! I can tell her to go get her shoes or baby or find your toes... and she knows exactly what to do. Guessing her brothers do enough talking that she doesn't need to!
She loves anything shiny... and is always trying to put on beads, necklaces, bracelets around the house. She also loves her brothers trucks, trains and putting her hands in the dirt!
Sam had his first game of the season a couple of weeks ago. The last 2 years he has played kick and chase so this is the real deal - all boys, U-8 soccer. Most of the kids on his team play soccer, baseball and basketball together so they are all buddies and have a lot of fun together. We have great coaches and parents... it's going to be a fun season. :-)
The kids have been missing Sam while he is away at school. The boys are such good buddies and are usually off playing... so this week Ben has been looking for attention, entertainment and basically talking my ear off non-stop. He and Harper found a way to stay busy this afternoon while I was getting stuff prepped for dinner. :-)
Here it is... Ben's first day of his last year of preschool. Next year he will join Sam at Oak Hills! Ben loved the activities they had out today... golf ball painting, huge water table with colored rocks, beading, writing center, train tracks, blocks, trucks, puzzles, play-doh etc. Loves to paint! Playing trains with his friend Andrew... they were in the same class last year!
We finally have 90 degree weather in Portland and school starts in 2 days! We rode our bikes up to the bethany fountain today to cool off, and we were the only ones there. Boys had fun being silly and Harper managed to get soaked too.
Harper is so lucky to have such loving big brothers... they are always willing to watch after and play with her. At night she is the last one they want to see and say goodnight to. :-)
