Last few days...

Friday Brian ran his 19th hood to coast! This year he and JD created a new team... the Tiki Rum Runners. Naked Love Pretzel is still out there - some old members, some new.

Someone loves to climb!

Beach day!

It's hood to coast weekend for Brian, so yesterday the kids and I took a day trip to Pacific City with some friends. They have been asking to go back and climb the dune since we went last time with Lizzie and Ian. It was chilly and foggy... but didn't stop anyone from getting wet!

We made it to the top of the dune (twice)! Sam wanted to go for three later in the day... Instead of hauling Harper up again we decided just to play down on the beach.

The sun finally came out around 4:30!
Great day - no one wanted to leave! We finally loaded up and hauled 5 tired kids back to town. The boys were showered and passed out within 15 minutes of getting home... and they are already asking to go back. :-)

Monday afternoon

Harper turned 1 on Saturday and has all of a sudden become little miss independent. We had her 1 year appointment this morning - she weighed in at 18lb 8 oz (10%) and is 30 in long (75%).

This afternoon she was nothing but trouble. Refusing her nap (she lost that battle), climbing in the fridge...

Screaming at the table because she wanted a regular big cup rather than a sippy cup - has to be like her brothers! Later she tried to get down the stairs...when I helped her down, she growled and climbed back up to do it again - HERSELF!

Tonight she actually took 2 steps!

And took several rides around the house! And now I am ready to send her to bed so we can do it again tomorrow.

Harper turns 1!

Today was Harper's birthday - so hard to believe she is 1! The boys have been so excited to celebrate... we made a big, pink cake with lots of sprinkles! My sweet friend Jennah made her a little matching pink cake... she played with the sprinkles and then decided she didn't want anything to do with it! She loves her new baby the boys picked out - she screamed as we were trying to get it out of the package and starting hugging and kissing it right away.

I'm feeling a little bit sad that she is a whole year old already! She is so much fun and almost walking, trying to say words, and has such a playful personality - but growing up too fast!

Mirror Lake

We stopped to hike Mirror Lake on the way home from Sunriver and it was a perfect day! The boys rode home with my mom and dad but they would have loved it!

Sunriver 2011 - Wednesday night

Rode the River Loop tonight with Sam... he is a great little bike rider. There were lots of deer and people out fishing along the Deschutes. Beautiful night!

Sunriver 2011 - Days 3-5

I can't believe it's Wednesday already. When we told the boys we are going home tomorrow Ben said "Awwww... but that wasn't very much time in Sunriver!"
We have several other friends here this week and have been able to meet up and let the kids play, have cocktail hour, and just enjoy being outside in this great weather. Yesterday we drove into Bend and spent the day with Aunt Susie. We swam, played out in their great yard and had an awesome dinner.

This morning we made our trip to the stables...
The kids are asleep and then we are heading to the pool and the bike trails before we have to start packing up in the morning. Another fun year - can't wait until next year with the Arnolds. :-)
