Thanksgiving together!

We had such an awesome day yesterday!  Started by running the Oak Hills Turkey Trot with good friends... and then dinner at my sister's house.  We laughed and ate and drank and had the best time.  The kids played football and did Christmas crafts and enjoyed kicking off the holidays together for the first time in 3 years.  Even the puppy was exhausted!

Thanksgiving and our tree!

We had a great Thanksgiving this year - although wasn't the same with out my sister and her family.  Started off the day with the Oak Hills Turkey Trot... such a fun community race that raises food and $ for a great cause.  Lots of our friends run and volunteer so it's always a fun event.  We had a huge family feast that night and ventured out to get our tree the next morning.  It was cold, pouring rain and pretty much miserable.  The place we got our tree (Christmas Mountain) had a fire, hot chocolate and tons of great trees to choose from.  We were able to get it chopped down, tied to the car and out of there in record time!

Thanksgiving

We had a really busy but good Thanksgiving this year! I volunteered EARLY that morning at Sam's school. Each year they put on a neighborhood Turkey Trot. I was there at 7am to set up the course and food table. They had a 1/2 mile run for the kids, and a 2 or 5 mile walk for adults. It was cold and wet!
Our turkey took 6 hours to cook! We were ready to eat but kept waiting and waiting and waiting... We had 11 people for dinner - and way too much food.
Here are the cousins in the fort they built with Colin.
