I love how they are all looking at each other in this one! The boys really are smitten with Harper and she adores them. Brian's face cracks me up! Cousins! Tired girl... The boys got up way too early (before 6!) and were thrilled to find a note from the Easter bunny and fun goodies in their baskets. We had brunch with family and they slept all afternoon and woke up much happier than they were this morning. Harper barely napped so she is snoozing way... but here is is 10:30 and the big kids are still awake upstairs in their beds. We had a good day together!
Harper was baptized tonight on Easter Eve. She was so good and then we took a few photos with Ellen and Colin and she was DONE! The kids played hard tonight and got to bed late after writing notes to the Easter bunny... I'm sure they will be up at the crack of dawn as that seems to be the trend lately!
I took this photo of Lizzie and Ian tonight at Sam's baseball game. My sister and her family are leaving for Singapore in July to teach at the Singapore American School. We are so sad to see them go, but what an amazing opportunity for them to live overseas and teach at an amazing school for 2 years. Thank goodness for skype! We love you guys!
Harper is 8 months old today. She is seriously getting so close to a year so fast and I am not ready for it! She started crawling last weekend and gets faster every day. She waves, claps, squeals and is super curious. Soon she will be walking, talking and chasing after the big kids!
The boys LOVE coloring Easter eggs. They were asking all afternoon if we could do it today and sat and watched the water boil and waited patiently for them to cool.
This is Sam's green egg that says "The Ducks" on it... A few eggs were broken in the process... there was a minor meltdown over this yellow egg but luckily I boiled a few extra just in case. What is this thing? Another Sam creation. Checking out the eggs. DONE!
Jennah and her good friend Toby threw an Easter party for the kids this morning. There was tons of great food, crafts, games and treats for the kids.
The kids had so much fun making baskets, decorating cookies, filling real eggs with candy, doing an egg walk and filling up on sugar! Jennah sent home a ton of Easter candy and Sam won a guessing game and came home with 300 pieces of chocolate! Just what we need! :-)
Harper has been kind of hot and cold as far as eating solids... one day she loves her cereal and applesauce... the next day she refuses to open her mouth. Tonight I gave her a piece of corn to keep her busy while we finished dinner and it was a hit! She's been working on her first 2 teeth for a while now so she's been chewing on EVERYTHING!
