Singapore!

I made it to Singapore!  It was a 10 hour plane ride to Tokyo and another 7 to Singapore.  We got a few hours of sleep and have been out and about exploring with the kids.  We took the train downtown and walked around Orchard Road, Marina Bay, Raffles Place and the Fullerton Hotel.  It was pretty hot and humid and now a huge thunder storm is rolling through... 

This week...

- Harper tried out a gymnastics class and got messy in preschool
- Ben did his first science fair project
- Sam had his last indoor soccer game for the season

And tomorrow - I am flying to Singapore to see the Arnolds!!!  I am sooooo excited! 

Valentine girl

Harper has been talking about valentine's day for weeks... she's helped pick out cards, put up decorations and send love notes and treats to our cousins in Singapore.  I think she was just as excited to wake up on valentine's day as she was on Xmas.  :)

Art

I've been going through the kids' art and things they have been working on at school.  I love love love this drawing Ben did of MLK Jr.  Seriously the kid could barely draw a stick man a few months ago.

Sam's Thankful Tree... protection, water, warm bed, friends, food, nice weather, strong bones, eyes to see, school, brain, trees, cozy blankets.  :)

Vancouver Lake 1/2

Sunday I ran the Vancouver Lake 1/2 with about 10 Team Athena friends.  It was a last minute race for me so was happy with a new PR of 1:37...  Training for the Eugene 1/2 in April so this was a good benchmark.  I can't say enough about the women I run with... incredible friends and runners that challenge me on so many levels.

Kristin (above) wins the happy pacer award - she met me at mile 8 for a few miles.  Looking forward to some good racing in 2013!

Brave girl

Harper fell last week and smacked her chin on the hardwood floor... no fun!

Powder!

I took the kids up to the mountain today to sled with a bunch of friends... I'm pretty sure the adults had as much fun as the kids.  Hardly anyone up there and great weather!  

Outfit of the week

Harper loves to dress herself and has her mind made up when it comes to her sense of fashion.  We got some interesting looks at Costco and Trader Joe's... she was wearing this get up with goggles on her head and it was 30 degrees out.  I did make her wear a coat!

Track
