Sunriver 2011 - Day 2

The boys were busy biking, swimming, playing in the park and hot tub today. Brian and I ran, swam and biked - trying to make up for everything we have been eating on vacation!

We've been having lots of visitors!

Sunriver 2011 - First Night

We made it! First night here and having a good time although missing my sis and her family. Boys have been playing, bike riding, hot-tubbing and enjoying time with Aunt Susie and Uncle Denny.
Harper thinks she can walk! Almost!

...and I'm pretty silly and pretty cute and I know it!

Trails

We are so lucky to live where we do. Last night Brian and I left for the Banks-Vernonia State Trail and were able to bike about 16 miles before dark. It was so beautiful. The trail follows an abandoned railroad bed that stretches 21 miles between Banks and Vernonia. Tons of beautiful trees, farmland, wildflowers, trestle bridges, deer and no one else in sight. The sun set, moon came up, and we finally made it off of the trail as it was getting dark.

I can do it myself!

Yesterday I tried to feed Harper some yogurt and she did NOT want me to help her. She took the container, tried to drink the yogurt, dumped half of it out, flung it all over herself with the spoon and had a good time doing it! I think about half of it made it in her mouth. She was pretty proud of herself too!

Beach day!

Great day today at Cannon Beach! Tons of sun, sand and wave jumping. Harper refused to put her feet in the sand... I hope that changes before we go to Hawaii this fall!

Friends

Last week we hosted one of the UK soccer coaches. We had such a fun week getting to know Dean (from England). He was great with the kids, and such an easy going guy that fit in so well with our family. He is up in Washington coaching this week and then heading to the bay area and returns home in October.
Harper loves Dean! She was quite the flirt.
The boys are asking when we can go visit England. Some day!

County Fair 2011

Annual trip to the fair yesterday and it wasn't the same without the cousins! The boys had fun on the tractors...
And drove the go-karts for the first time! Ben loved it and was a pro - passing on the inside and tearing up the track. :-)
Sam and my dad are on this ferris wheel somewhere... Ben didn't make the height requirement by 2 inches and was bummed! But they did let him ride the roller coaster! It was hot but fun!
