Fall baseball and soccer!

We've almost made it through fall sports!  Sam has had soccer or baseball 6 days a week so thankfully Ben's soccer is just 2 days a week.  With Brian's crazy schedule the little kids have to come to most games and practices, and have been such troopers.  Sam's baseball games don't always get done before 8:30 or 9 so it's been a stretch on everyone.   Here's to a short break before indoor soccer starts in a few weeks!

First day of school

Successful re-entry back to school!  The boys both have great teachers and are happy to be back with friends... I'm happy for a routine again. :)

Soccer Camp

The boys have been at UK soccer camp this week -- today was international day.  We are hosting a coach again this year from England and the boys are loving having him around.  Harper and I have been having playdates, exploring the zoo and enjoying the quiet. :)

Crazy hair day!

This is the first time the boys have ever let me do anything fun with their hair!

Spring skiing

The boys have been asking to try skiing all winter.  I finally took them up today with Rob and his girls.  There was so much powder!  It dumped all day!  

They took a morning lesson and after lunch we practiced on the bunny slope.  They were starting to make turns and navigate the chair lift... it's a good thing Rob has A LOT of patience.  Sam only took out one snowboarder! 

The garden is in!

The boys planted the garden last week with my dad and are watching and waiting for it to grow...

I took this a week ago before Sam's last basketball game... He looks so grown up and his feet look huge!  Ben... gotta love the hat!

Friday Night..

The boys wanted to build a fort tonight so we got out sleeping bags, pillows etc and made a fort in the their room. They are watching a movie on Brian's laptop and eating popcorn - they think it's pretty cool!

First Snow

Not quite enough to build a snowman but they insisted on going out. Took about 20 min to get them all suited up! Hopefully we get more this winter so they can really play out there!

1st Day of School

We survived the first morning of school chaos! Up early, lunch and snacks packed, school supplies ready to go etc. Sam was so excited for his first day and to ride the bus... and the bus never came! I was at school waiting and Brian had all 3 kids at the bus stop for 25 minutes! I came home to get Sam and the bus came rolling down our hill... empty with a not so friendly driver. We made it to school and Sam found his room and a few friends from last year. I can't believe he is a big 1st grader!
After getting Sam settled it was time to drop Ben off at preschool! His first day in the 3s class and he did great with me dropping him off. Yay Ben!
Here is his class coming back from the playground. Ben is in the blue coat next to the teacher... on the way home today he said "I hope my teachers will miss me..."
