We put the tree up yesterday and it was quite comical. We were working on the lights when the whole tree fell out of the stand... and the thing is so tall we can't get up high enough to get the lights all the way to to the tip top or get the star quite right. We let the kids do the decorating and then I spent the next hour "re-organizing" as Ben put 10+ ornaments on each branch...It's starting to feel like the holidays around here! The kids are asking about zoolights, gingerbread houses and visiting Santa. They are full of questions this year... "How does Santa get in the house?" "Does Santa eat?" and "Does he know my name?"
I'm sure Brian was thrilled it only took me 5 minutes to pick out our tree this year... Last year we hunted around for an hour and I couldn't find just the right one. I guess when you have 3 kids to juggle you just want things to go as quickly and smoothly as possible!
Heading out the door to my sister's house! Biggest turkey! Auntie Ellen! Big girl - 3 months old already! Grandma with all the kids... it was a challenge but we did get a few photos!
Not quite enough to build a snowman but they insisted on going out. Took about 20 min to get them all suited up! Hopefully we get more this winter so they can really play out there! Pretending to sled... Snow angels!
Grace and Audrey came over yesterday and the boys had a blast. They played hide and seek, chase, tickle monster, Sorry, Red Light Green Light, Candyland and pretty much ran around non-stop. The girls were so good with them and kept them entertained for hours!
The boys and I walked up to the park the other day after school and Ben insisted on bringing Woody. Sam collected leaves along the way but Ben was too busy playing cowboys.
