Our good friends hosted a Halloween party today and the boys were up at the crack of dawn and ready to go! 3 cuties! Ladybug girl... Jennah threw a great party and of course had a ton of food and fun things for the kids to do... apple stamping, pumpkin decorating, a scavenger hunt and tons of other fun games for the kids. Spooky spider cupcakes! Peanut butter eyeballs - yum!
My girl is 2 months old today. I wish she could stay a tiny bundle forever as there is nothing sweeter than a newborn baby... but at the same time she is getting to be so much fun. The boys love that she smiles so much now and tries to laugh and squeal. Amazing how fast they change!
Last week Sam brought home a new homework assignment called copying counters. He was supposed to use something like pennies, toothpicks, linking cubes etc to design patterns. Then your partner copies the pattern using the same number of items. We came up with all kinds of cool shapes and designs. Then Sam spelled out his sister's name with a heart. Too cute!
After our family trip to the pumpkin patch, everyone came over to celebrate Ellen's birthday, carve pumpkins and watch football. We cleaned out the pumpkin guts but never got around to carving the pumpkins... Mom made a huge pot of chili and put together another scavenger hunt for the kids - they loved it. Mom helping the kids with Halloween crafts. Happy Birthday to my awesome sister!
Saturday we made our annual trip to Baggenstos with the family. The cousins had a great time and were all determined to get the biggest pumpkins ever! Ben with his pumpkin! Buddies! This is the best family shot we could get - always a challenge! Cute Arnold family! Cousins with Papa! Pumpkin Bowling!
Ben brought Max the bear home from preschool yesterday... each child gets a turn to take Max home and write about their adventures in the class journal. Ben has been dragging him around everywhere.
Today Ben's preschool class went to the pumpkin patch. They ran around the hay maze, rode the tractor, looked at animals and picked out the perfect pumpkins. Ben wanted the "biggest pumpkin of all" but then decided if he couldn't carry it himself, he didn't want it!
Someone is 7 weeks old already! She is growing so fast and smiling and loves to try and squeal and make noise. She is quite attached to her mama... She will be fine with Brian and the minute she hears my voice she starts screaming!
Sam is just growing up too fast! Sometimes I can't believe the things he says. Yesterday he told me when he is an adult and gets his own iPhone, he is going to send me a text that says "I love you so much."
He asked me to hold Harper last night... It was so cute to watch him patting her and talking to her in a quiet little voice.
